US M1 Abrams Tank - Blown Up By Russian ATGM

Even the highly praised US-made M1 Abrams tanks aren’t invulnerable. The disturbing video shows an ISIS-fired, Russian-made anti-tank guided missile (ATGM) blowing up a US-made M1 Abrams tank.

The West is promising to deliver Leopard and M1 Abrams tanks to Ukraine. Till so far it’s only talking. Germany doesn’t have those tanks immediately available. The USA is still mulling about it.

Ukrainian tank crews still have to be trained on these highly sophisticated vehicles. Completing their training only means they can drive them, but they still don’t know how to use them in an actual war.

Another important thing is how to get them into Ukraine. They can’t fly them in, so they have to be transported by train. I bet, the moment those trains cross the border, the tracks will be destroyed.

NATO Patriot missiles and other means of air defense can’t defend them, because this would mean a direct NATO attack on Russia and Ukraine doesn’t have the systems anymore.

Driving tanks to the east without NATO air support means they will be destroyed by Russian aircraft. Tanks are no air defense systems.
